Her vocals are so smooth, so warm, floating out over this simple piano, kick, snap combo. At 30 seconds the band falls in and folks it’s so funky. Really fun to have such a groove, such a funk feel, at such a slow tempo. This one is laid baaaaack.

The title lyric extending out past the end of the beat, dancing alongside this accordion of a synth. It lands with the force of the drums, the band delivering one hell of a sound. It’s so full and alive, but the vocals sit clear above the rest. It’s beautiful. The bass is going crazy here, unafraid to stand out with some fun moments.

Palladino begs for one last chance, just hoping to keep this special thing alive. Willing to do anything, and this delightful of a song should help a bit too. Around 2:40 we move into this dark building bridge, hoping they stay. The synth comes back with these sparkling-moonlight stabs, the whole thing song feeling like we’re dancing into the early morning, a warm night-time breeze carrying us through. I love it, a big magical production, and a great performance the whole way through.
