Some days I log on to infamous social media website instagram dot com and my friends and other users are all using the app for one purpose - to post the same song on all their stories making little ol max feel like he’s really missing out on something.

Today was one of those days - but rather than suffer with insecurity, I simply dive in knowing there’s something juicy here. And georgee delivers come ON.

It’s a really cute intro, ‘cool’ the common word through these different verses. The guitar big and bright, the kick steady and sure. Little bits and bobs around the outside give the whole thing some exciting energy. georgee cannonballs in, his voice soaring, with soaked in reverb it really feels like a massive moment. Those claps doing the same.

Then at 0:42 it all dissipates, just georgee - a hint of a filter, like we’re on the phone or just in our bedroom together. Remember my face went red when you said I was cute / and I don’t know if you were dumb or telling the truth. It’s intimate, heartfelt, a little silly, I love it.

The moment builds, picking up a little steam as this little three note groove repeats, then BAM the band appears, stadium banger mode once again. The section is full of adlibs, feels like a jam of a moment, alive and like it could be different every time you played this song. georgee reaching up to the skies hoping his lady comes back down to earth soon and they can be together again.

After a few drum fills swirl, we settle back into this back and forth rhythm, that kick so grounding. We down shift again, back to that personal moment, this song is such a fun ride. Powering back up to this jam section, this time the band really feeling it, as the guitar solo’s here and there, the vocals having a blast, the bass showing off in the perfect spot, it’s so good. The whole song has such a powerful heartbeat, a natural breath swaying in and out, I really adore it. Glad everyone was posting this and glad I listened <3
