Margaux - I Wouldn't Want It Any Other Way

I don’t know that a first 5 seconds has ever grabbed me like this. Geez.

The perfect vocals, the perfect guitar, the muffled drums, it’s magic.

The magic turns over a few times, letting me savor this perfect arrangement. Margaux’s writing matching the beauty, a lot of things have changed / it isn’t quite the same / i’ve thought about you every night and day… It’s healthier this way. Simple & strong.

You can really feel the tension between these two. So, when the pattern breaks, a new melody propelling us on with brighter chords, it feels like we’re floating. So light as Margaux dreams of better days ahead.

We start to add layers, a piano, slow strings, all so tasteful. New harmonies pick up here too, so much beauty to appreciate. This moment is so palpable, confusing as they adjust to a breakup (romantic or platonic), and how they fit together now. The contrast into these daydreams is such a relief and just so sweet.

I wanna be friends swirls and swirls, even more band coming to life. Damn this is so good. Second single off an upcoming LP and I CANNOT WAIT.
