Max's Music Monday ~Bonus Week~
My 20 most listened to songs and (16) artists of the year so far (and when to listen so you'll love them all too)
As we close out July we get the rare 5th Monday of the month. Figured I’m only one month late on doing a little halfway through the year recap, so might as well go for it. I’m booting up the ol’ discoverquickly machine and sharing some blurbs about my most listened to songs and artists of the year.
I’ve written about many of them already, so it felt a bit boring to just say why they are so good another time. Instead, I thought How the hell do I get someone reading this to listen to at leeeeast one of these songs and this is what came out. A clear moment, a clear feeling, when this song will hit the hardest. You’re welcome to listen to them all any time regardless of how you feel, but if you need some encouraging or help picking one out, I hope this helps.
My 20 Most Listened to Songs and The Exact Moment to Listen to Guarantee You Will Love Each and Every Song.
1. Coogie - Dijon. Like cracking a beer in the summer haze. A moonlit walk. A song that’ll chill you out and then get you moving.
2. Say Hi - Medium Build. Two thirds of the way through summer roadtrip when you stop focusing and start daydreaming about your crush. Wondering what could’ve been… what could still be…?
3. Doc Whiler - Alex Banin. Hyping yourself up, dancing in the mirror in your bedroom to calm your anxiety. Let it all out and fall back into your bed.
4. Boyhood - The Japanese House. Running around in circles at the park with all of your friends - feeling safe, feeling loved.
5. Push Back, Baby - Lutalo. Power-walking to get somewhere on time, this one has an engine and now you do too. Fueled by the frustrations of life, but you’re getting through it.
6. Hospital - Madison Cunningham ft. Remi Wolf. Dancing in the kitchen, making dinner for someone you love.
7. Bruises off the Peach - Ryan Beatty. On a wistful walk to get some fresh air on a foggy morning, reminding yourself it’s all ok.
8. Races - Barrie. You just got some good news and need to smile and breathe. Let this beam of sun warm you up.
