Remi Wolf. A genius.

I seriously am endlessly blown away by her ability to lay down hit after hit. This song is exciting, it’s unquestionably “her”, the Solomonophonic production coming through loud and clear - but the sound is elevated. More traditional tones from each instrument, some might call it maturing? I just think it’s the natural next step for an artist that is making her weirdness timeless.

She has the ability to drop these perfect lyrics - here, the singalongable Me and the Boys in the hotel lobby!! - which I as I texted my friend Grace after first listen, feels like a lyric I’ve always known?? I don’t know how Remi does it. Like I can’t remember not knowing it. Found myself singing along immediately.

Like all the best Wolf songs, it’s got everything. Cheeky writing, moments where she shows off the damn pipes, genre-bending deliveries, and just a bunch of fun (looking at you mr. whistle!).

I cannot wait for her new record. Can all but promise I’ll be writing up every release until then.
